Shopify checkout footer now has one link for policies
Shopify has replaced separate policy links in the checkout footer with one “Terms and policies” link. Customers can choose a policy in the modal that opens.
Shopify has consolidated the policy links in the checkout footer. The change does not alter the content of your policies.
Policies under one link
Instead of a separate link for each policy, the checkout footer now shows a “Terms and policies” link. Customers can select the policy they want to view from the modal it opens.
What merchants need to do
Your policy content remains unchanged, and no action is required. Merchants on the Shopify Plus plan can hide the default footer and add their own policy links using Checkout UI extensions.
The updated Shopify checkout footer brings policy links together, while Shopify Plus merchants can configure their own links.
