Shopify moves variant management to the product page
Shopify adds options to edit variants on the product page, search and filter them, switch views, and update multiple variants at once.
Variant management now lives on the Shopify product page. With the update, you can manage variants while keeping your product details in view.
Edit variants on the product page
You can edit variants directly on the product page and keep product details visible. This removes the need to switch between product and variant pages while editing.
Find and update variants
Search, filter, and group variants by option. You can also switch between detail and table views for quick editing.
Change core fields such as price and shipping across multiple variants in one go.
Availability
Merchants on Plus and higher plans can activate the feature now in Test Drives. They will be automatically opted in on December 12.
The rollout to all merchants will begin gradually in December. The feature will arrive in the admin without requiring setup.
Shopify says these updates are designed to simplify product management, especially as product catalogs and variant counts grow.
