Launch your Shopify store faster with automated policies
Shopify now lets you automate store policies. They stay up to date as your store settings change and remain in sync with Shopify’s recommendations.
You can automate selected store policies in your Shopify admin. The option is designed to help you launch your store faster and expand into new markets.
Policies you can automate
Automation is available for return and refund, contact information, terms of service, shipping, and legal notice policies.

How to enable automated policies
In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Policies. Select the policy you want, enable “Use automated policy,” and click Save.
You remain responsible for your policies and for your store’s compliance with applicable laws.
Automated policy settings let you enable the listed policy types from your Shopify admin; responsibility for legal compliance remains with you.
