Use metaobject fields in Shopify Analytics reports
In Shopify Analytics, you can select, filter, and group metaobject fields linked to products, variants, customers, or orders through metafields.
Shopify now lets you use metaobject fields in Analytics reports. Fields from metaobject definitions can be selected in the report picker and used to filter or group report data.
Use metaobject fields in reports
In a report, open Metaobjects and select the resource, definition, and field. For example, use Designer > Country to work with country values, or filter for a single value.
These fields are also available in the query editor.
Manage definitions and existing fields
You can turn Analytics access for a metaobject definition on or off in Settings > Metafields and metaobjects. Open the metaobject and use the Filter or group data in Analytics setting.
Merchant-owned metaobjects are enabled. App-created metaobjects remain off until you or the app enable Analytics for the definition. Metaobjects and the metafields that point to them are unchanged; custom and category metafields remain in their own groups in the picker.
Metaobject fields can now be selected, filtered, and grouped in Shopify Analytics reports.
