Faster checkout and carts synced across devices with Shop
Shop can identify shoppers while they browse a store. According to Shopify’s release notes, this brings updated checkout, sign-in, and cart-syncing features for Shop users.
Shopify’s release notes describe updates to the store experience for Shop users. Shop can now verify a shopper before they make a purchase.
Faster checkout and one-tap sign-in
Checkout loads faster for Shop users, and they can sign in to customer accounts with one tap.
The Buy with Shop Pay button is pre-filled to show the card the shopper used most recently.
Carts sync across devices
A shopper’s cart stays up to date across their devices. Carts started in the Shop app carry over to the storefront, and carts started in the storefront carry over to the Shop app.
Browsing activity also syncs with the shopper’s Shop account. Shop can resurface viewed items and abandoned carts, and remind shoppers to complete their carts.
Available on all browsers
According to the release notes, these features are now supported on all browsers.
The Shop update brings together faster checkout, simpler sign-in, and cart syncing across devices.
