International shipping rates and guaranteed label costs with Managed Markets

Roipas Editorial Team

Shopify Managed Markets now manages international shipping rates alongside duty-inclusive pricing. Before enabling the feature, you can review product prices, checkout totals, and expected payouts.

Managed Markets sets Standard and Express shipping rates for each destination. These rates are managed alongside duty-inclusive pricing.

How shipping rates are handled

Part of the shipping cost is included in product prices, while the remainder is charged as shipping at checkout. You can choose to absorb part of the cost to show buyers lower prices.

Managed Markets sets and updates the rates, which you can’t edit yourself. You can turn the feature off for a market to use your own rates, but the label-cost guarantee won’t apply.

Carrier cost guarantee for qualifying labels

For qualifying prepaid FedEx or DHL Express labels purchased through Managed Markets, you won’t be billed for later carrier cost adjustments.

Review prices before enabling the feature

You can preview international product prices, checkout totals, and expected payouts for each market. Duty-inclusive pricing is required.

To review your settings, go to Markets, open a market, and find the Managed Markets section.
